Stacey Blume spent some spare time at
her family's uniform manufacturing company as a young
girl. She quickly learned the industry jargon of emblems
and patches watching the seamstresses sew at a record
pace. While most people wouldn't consider a bus driver's
uniform to be the sexiest of items to inspire a fashion
line, that's all Blume needed to envision stylish
lingerie and contemporary couture that women would love.
Blume put her dream in motion in Los Angeles where she
spent time pursuing an acting career. She worked with
makeup artists and stylists further feeding her energy
for fashion and design. Blume began selling the cute
tops and underwear at trunk shows and got a great
response to the hot items. Excited to begin her new
career, Stacey returned to New York City and now designs
from her West Village studio. Keeping with her original
inspiration, Blume works with the uniform company which
serves as production headquarters.
The innovative style of the "Personalized" underwear and
other collections have created quite a buzz and have
been a big hit with celebrities such as Paris Hilton,
Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Aniston, Kelly
Ripa, Julia Roberts, Brooke Shields,
Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani, and
Angelina Jolie. Blume has been featured in major
publications such as US Weekly, People Magazine's
'Style Watch' section, WWD, New York Times Style
Section, and Jane Magazine, as well as hit
televisions shows such as "Access Hollywood", "Live
with Regis and Kelly", "The Today Show", "The
View", “E!”, and a special segment on CNBC.
Blume has expanded beyond the original hit of the
kitschy undergarments that allowed women to bare a
little personality with other unique collections. The
"Tie Me Ups", "Glitz", and "Floral Lace" collections
consist of tanks, tees, hoodies, and sweats that are
designed to be worn in or out of the bedroom. Blume also
recently announced a special delivery... Blume Baby!
Blume embodies comfortable fun for both women and
children. The line is sure to begin each morning (or
evening) with a smile. Blume is currently sold on
www.blumegirl.com
and at high end boutiques throughout the United States,
Canada, the United Kingdom, and Japan.
